This is such a simple salsa recipe and yet it tastes fantastic. Let's face it, squash are huge and we rarely use the whole thing at once. This is a good alternative to use with your leftover squash from the salad or whatever. I almost feel a bit silly putting directions on this this salsa recipe but hey, ya never know. Just mix everything up and eat with tortilla chips or on your Mexican food night.

Easy Salsa Recipe
This is a very easy salsa recipe to follow. Not only is the salsa easy to make, but it has a mouth-watering zesty taste to it. Every time I cook Mexican food, this salsa is never left out. Don't spend your money on those canned grocery salsas... spend the money on fresh ingredients and make your own salsa right at home! That is the best way to go.
Okay, let's start making the easy salsa. Like I
mentioned before, it is best to buy fresh ingredients for the salsa. You will need 2 fresh tomatoes, 1 onion, jalapenos(the more you add, the spicier), cilantro, lime juice or lemon juice, and either sea salt or just plain salt. That's all you will need! It's a very easy salsa recipe.
For this salsa, It's best to have a small type of blender. But you can chop up the ingredients if you prefer that. If using a small blender/chopper, first start off with dicing the 2 tomatoes into chunks. Don't finely chop them, that's what the blender is for. Then put those aside. Now start chopping only half of the onion, but don't finely chop that either. You can now put the tomatoes and the half chopped onion into the small blender and blend it for a few seconds. Don't over blend or else the salsa will be completely liquid. Stop blending. Now you can squirt a little amount of lemon or lime juice into the blender. Keep the onions and tomatoes in the blender. Now, add a lot of cilantro. About 4-5 tablespoons of cilantro to the salsa. Blend for a couple more seconds. Chop up some jalapenos and add to the blender as well. The more jalapenos you add, the spicier the salsa will be. Now add the 1 tablespoon of salt or sea salt. Now all the ingredients should be in the blender. Blend until the right consistency of salsa that you like.
UPDATE: This recipe also tastes great if you let it chill for about two hours!
And your done! It's a very easy salsa recipe. If you would like, you can refrigerate the salsa before serving. If not refrigerating the salsa, just pour the salsa from blender into a decorative bowl and get the tortilla chips out and enjoy your homemade salsa! This easy salsa recipe is great for having company, party's, Mexican dinners, or even just a late night snack.
